Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday presided over the promotion of Captain Akhenaton Isaac, who has advanced to the rank of Captain and Commander of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.
According to the release, Captain Isaac’s wife attended the ceremony and replaced his shoulder marks as part of the formal proceedings, which marked a significant moment in his military career.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence in Captain Isaac’s leadership and professionalism, and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting the Defence Force in its mandate to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and security.
The ceremony also included the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Commander Don Polo.
