Investigators continue enquiries into the death of a man, identified as Ryan John, who was found on the premises of a house on Railway Road, Sangre Grande.
John reportedly fell and sustained injuries after attempting to jump a fence.
He was taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital, where he was treated and later succumbed to his injuries.
A post-mortem conducted revealed that he died as a result of blunt force injuries.
Police said John was found on the premises of a house on Railway Road, Sangre Grande, and residents raised an alarm. Officers were told he attempted to jump a fence to flee but fell and injured himself in the process.
He was detained by residents, who contacted the police.
Officers of the Sangre Grande Police Station responded and took him to the Sangre Grande Hospital for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
