One held, marijuana plants seized in early morning raid

One man is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore an Ari­ma mag­is­trate to face charges of drug traf­fick­ing af­ter po­lice found a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na at a house in Ari­ma ear­ly to­day.

Po­lice said of­fi­cers of the Tran­sit Po­lice Task Force and the Ari­ma CID vis­it­ed a house on Al­fred Street, off Olton Road, at about 4 am where they found a mar­i­jua­na nurs­ery with 72 mar­i­jua­na plants and 400 grammes of dried mar­i­jua­na.

The ex­er­cise was co­or­di­nat­ed by Supt Robert Joseph of the Tran­sit Po­lice Unit and su­per­vised by Sgt Kurt Vir­gil.
