Lottery gambling will officially expand to Sundays from February 8, following a revised notice issued by the National Lotteries Control Board confirming new draw times for selected games.
Under the updated order, Sunday draws will be held for Play Whe, Pick 2, Pick 4 and Cash Pot at the TTT television studio in Port of Spain. Play Whe, Pick 2 and Pick 4 will be drawn at 10.30 am, 1 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm, while Cash Pot will have a single Sunday draw at 7 pm.
The January 19 notice replaces an earlier announcement made on January 13 and removes a notice which said there would be multiple Cash Pot draws on Sundays. The revised version clarifies the draw times and confirms the arrangement as final.
All other online lottery games will continue to operate under existing schedules, and no changes have been announced for non-gaming holidays.
The move marks a significant shift for the local lottery, where draws have traditionally run from Monday to Saturday. It's been met with mixed reaction from the public especially from more.
