Police have not yet confirmed the identity of a mutilated female body found along the M2 Ring Road in La Romaine yesterday morning.
The deceased is believed to be Hispanic.
Reports indicate that at 8.15 am a 36-year-old worker was clearing overgrown bushes at his job site when he discovered the body lying on blood-soaked ground about 20 feet off the roadway.
The woman’s right arm was severed at the elbow and her left arm was partially severed. The missing limb was not found at the scene.
The body was lying face up. She was described as slim, of light brown complexion, about five feet four inches tall, with shoulder-length black hair. She wore a black and red top and blue three-quarter length pants.
The body bore several tattoos, including “ISABELL” on her left thigh, “DEIS CUIDA DE MUM” and a tribal print on her left shoulder, and “JUAN CARLOS”.
Officers from the San Fernando CID, La Romaine Police Post, San Fernando Traffic Unit and Homicide Bureau Region Three visited the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
