Mutilated female body found along M2 Ring Road in La Romaine

Po­lice have not yet con­firmed the iden­ti­ty of a mu­ti­lat­ed fe­male body found along the M2 Ring Road in La Ro­maine yes­ter­day morn­ing.

The de­ceased is be­lieved to be His­pan­ic.

Re­ports in­di­cate that at 8.15 am a 36-year-old work­er was clear­ing over­grown bush­es at his job site when he dis­cov­ered the body ly­ing on blood-soaked ground about 20 feet off the road­way.

The woman’s right arm was sev­ered at the el­bow and her left arm was par­tial­ly sev­ered. The miss­ing limb was not found at the scene.

The body was ly­ing face up. She was de­scribed as slim, of light brown com­plex­ion, about five feet four inch­es tall, with shoul­der-length black hair. She wore a black and red top and blue three-quar­ter length pants.

The body bore sev­er­al tat­toos, in­clud­ing “IS­ABELL” on her left thigh, “DEIS CUI­DA DE MUM” and a trib­al print on her left shoul­der, and “JUAN CAR­LOS”.

Of­fi­cers from the San Fer­nan­do CID, La Ro­maine Po­lice Post, San Fer­nan­do Traf­fic Unit and Homi­cide Bu­reau Re­gion Three vis­it­ed the scene. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
