Miss Universe Jamaica recovering after stage fall in Bangkok

Miss Uni­verse Ja­maica, Gabrielle Hen­ry, is safe and re­cov­er­ing af­ter falling off the stage dur­ing the pre­lim­i­nary evening gown com­pe­ti­tion in Bangkok, Thai­land, on Wednes­day.

Footage on so­cial me­dia showed Hen­ry tum­bling off the stage dur­ing the pageant, lead­ing to her be­ing re­moved on a stretch­er. She was im­me­di­ate­ly tak­en to a hos­pi­tal, where doc­tors con­firmed she sus­tained on­ly mi­nor in­juries and no frac­tures.

Raúl Rocha, Pres­i­dent of the Miss Uni­verse Or­gan­i­sa­tion, re­as­sured fans that Hen­ry was re­cov­er­ing.

“I want to re­as­sure the Miss Uni­verse fam­i­ly is con­cerned about Miss Uni­verse Ja­maica’s health. I have just left the hos­pi­tal, where I was with her and her fam­i­ly. Thank God, she has no bro­ken bones and is un­der ex­cel­lent care. She will re­main un­der ob­ser­va­tion overnight. We will stay in close touch with her fam­i­ly and con­tin­ue sup­port­ing her. We pray for her swift re­cov­ery,” he said.

Hen­ry’s par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Miss Uni­verse 2025 fi­nal, sched­uled for No­vem­ber 21 (tonight at 9PM lo­cal time), re­mains un­cer­tain.
