Man shot dead outside San Juan bar

A 31-year-old man was killed and an­oth­er man wound­ed af­ter a gun­man opened fire out­side King Style Bar in San Juan on Fri­day night.

Dead is Mck­el Browne of Champ Fleurs, Mount Dor. Around 8pm on Fri­day, 5 De­cem­ber 2025, Browne was lim­ing with friends in an open area at the front of the bar when a lone gun­man ap­proached from be­hind and shot him sev­er­al times. The shoot­er ran off along Bridge Road.

An off-du­ty po­lice of­fi­cer who was among the group chased the sus­pect and dis­charged one round from his li­censed firearm, but the gun­man es­caped on foot.

Pa­trons took Browne to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, where doc­tors pro­nounced him dead at 9:10 pm. A 28-year-old man stand­ing near a near­by car­wash suf­fered a gun­shot wound to his low­er back; he was tak­en to the same hos­pi­tal and is list­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion.

Crime scene in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered one spent 9mm car­tridge and two swabs of blood. CCTV was viewed and en­quiries are con­tin­u­ing. The mo­tive is un­known.
