The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has given instructions to charge a 20-year-old man with the murders of Rosanna and Elena Ramlal.
The suspect is a close male relative of the victims.
The 46-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter were found dead at their home at Seventh Avenue, Malick, Barataria, on October 16.
Their bodies were found in a bedroom of the house by firefighters who responded to reports of a house fire.
Three spent shells were found at the scene.
An autopsy confirmed the two were shot in the head before the bodies were burnt.
The suspect is expected to appear in court this morning.
