Kaia arrested at airport after returning to T&T

An­na-Lisa PaulShoot­ing vic­tim Ka­ia Sealy was ar­rest­ed min­utes af­ter land­ing at the Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port dur­ing the wee hours to­day.

Sealy's at­tor­ney Fay­ola Sandy was left stunned af­ter ar­riv­ing at the air­port to find Sealy, who was in the Unit­ed States for med­ical treat­ment, had been tak­en in­to cus­tody by po­lice of­fi­cers and led out the back of Pi­ar­co.

Sealy, who is fac­ing sev­er­al charges in con­nec­tion with the po­lice-in­volved shoot­ing death of her boyfriend Joshua Sama­roo, had been trav­el­ling in the com­pa­ny of her moth­er, who told Sandy the meet­ing with of­fi­cers had been cor­dial.

Sandy said Sealy's moth­er was firm the of­fi­cers had not act­ed in an ag­gres­sive man­ner to­wards Sealy.

Sealy was lat­er tak­en to the Arou­ca Po­lice Sta­tion as this had the best fa­cil­i­ties to ac­com­mo­date her.
