Holder named to T20 World Cup team of the tournament

West In­dies all rounder Ja­son Hold­er has been named to the Team of the Tour­na­ment at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Crick­et West In­dies said Hold­er earned se­lec­tion af­ter per­for­mances dur­ing the tour­na­ment.

Hold­er took 10 wick­ets and scored 141 runs. He record­ed a strike rate of 174.07 and an av­er­age of 35.25.

He scored 33 from 17 balls against Eng­land crick­et team as West In­dies made 196 for 6 and won by 30 runs.

Hold­er and Ro­mario Shep­herd added 89 runs for the eighth wick­et against South Africa na­tion­al crick­et team in Ahmed­abad. Hold­er scored 49 from 31 balls.

He made 37 from 22 balls against In­dia na­tion­al crick­et team.

With the ball, Hold­er took 4 for 27 against Nepal na­tion­al crick­et team at Wankhede Sta­di­um.

Hold­er said the se­lec­tion was a proud mo­ment.

Di­rec­tor of Crick­et Miles Bas­combe said Hold­er’s per­for­mances con­tributed to re­sults.

Shim­ron Het­my­er scored 248 runs in sev­en in­nings.

Sher­fane Ruther­ford made 76 not out against Eng­land.

Hold­er said the team worked for re­sults dur­ing the tour­na­ment.
