General Practice services at the Chaguanas District Health Facility will be temporarily relocated on Sunday to Montrose due to scheduled electrical works.
The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) said the relocation will take place from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. while works are carried out by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission at the facility on Ramsaran Street, Chaguanas.
During this period, General Practice services will be provided at the Montrose Health Facility. Members of the public who normally access GP care at Chaguanas are advised to attend Montrose for non-emergency medical attention.
The NCRHA said the Emergency Department at the Chaguanas District Health Facility will remain open but will operate in emergency mode only. This means services will be limited to the treatment of critical and urgent cases during the period of the electrical works.
Patients with non-life-threatening conditions are encouraged to seek care at alternative facilities or attend the Montrose Health Facility for General Practice services.
The authority said normal operations at the Chaguanas District Health Facility will resume once the electrical works are completed and full power supply is restored.
The NCRHA apologised for any inconvenience caused by the temporary arrangement and thanked members of the public for their understanding and cooperation.
