Officers of the Port of Spain Division are investigating four separate robberies reported across the capital on Saturday.
In the first incident, a woman parked her Nissan Navara along Flood Street around 5 am and went exercising. When she returned two hours later, she found the front passenger window smashed. An iPhone 11 Pro, charging block and a Samsung bag were missing.
Around 1:15 pm, a delivery driver parked his truck on Wrightson Road and stepped away briefly. When he returned less than an hour later, he discovered the door lock broken and several items missing, including clothing, dishes, televisions, pots, a PlayStation 4 and a red BMX mountain bike.
At about 1:30 pm, a woman arranged to sell her iPhone 15 on Park Street near Republic Bank. She was approached by a man who handed her an envelope before snatching the phone and running towards east Port of Spain. The envelope was later found to contain scrap paper.
Then, at approximately 2:40 pm, a man purchasing bananas at the corner of Charlotte Street and Independence Square was attacked from behind and relieved of his gold chains. When he confronted the suspect, three other men joined in assaulting him as the attacker fled.
Investigations are ongoing.
