Former Tunapuna Member of Parliament Eddie Hart has died.
Hart also served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Community Development and Culture, Culture and Tourism, and Community Development and Gender Affairs under the People’s National Movement.
He was involved in community development, culture and sport, and initiated the Eddie Hart Football League, reflecting his focus on community and youth, according to the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago.
In a post on Facebook this morning, Port of Spain North/St Ann’s West MP Stuart Young said, “A PNM stalwart and patriot Edward Hart affectionately known as ‘Eddie’ has transitioned. Eddie was an individual whose heart and energy was constantly focused on bettering Trinidad and Tobago and in particular, Tunapuna. I thank him and salute him for his service and all that he contributed to Trinidad and Tobago. Eddie you will be missed.”
