Former Tunapuna MP Eddie Hart dies

For­mer Tu­na­puna Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment Ed­die Hart has died.

Hart al­so served as Min­is­ter of State in the Min­istry of Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment and Cul­ture, Cul­ture and Tourism, and Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment and Gen­der Af­fairs un­der the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment.

He was in­volved in com­mu­ni­ty de­vel­op­ment, cul­ture and sport, and ini­ti­at­ed the Ed­die Hart Foot­ball League, re­flect­ing his fo­cus on com­mu­ni­ty and youth, ac­cord­ing to the Par­lia­ment of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

In a post on Face­book this morn­ing, Port of Spain North/St Ann’s West MP Stu­art Young said, “A PNM stal­wart and pa­tri­ot Ed­ward Hart af­fec­tion­ate­ly known as ‘Ed­die’ has tran­si­tioned. Ed­die was an in­di­vid­ual whose heart and en­er­gy was con­stant­ly fo­cused on bet­ter­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go and in par­tic­u­lar, Tu­na­puna. I thank him and salute him for his ser­vice and all that he con­tributed to Trinidad and To­ba­go. Ed­die you will be missed.”
