Newtown Boys RC Primary School has received five Android tablets, three months of upgraded broadband internet and a trophy, after emerging as the June 2026 champion of the Flow-sponsored Pennacool.com Inter-School Championship.
The school was recognised at a prize-giving ceremony in September as part of the initiative, which encourages primary school students across Trinidad and Tobago to strengthen their Mathematics and Language Arts skills through online learning.
Standard Five student Nathaniel Guerra, the competition’s top scorer, received a Chromebook laptop, while fellow student Nathan Taylor was awarded three months of free Flow broadband internet.
The school’s teacher was also recognised with a celebratory dinner, courtesy of Pennacool.com, in appreciation of the role educators play in supporting student achievement.
The championship uses curriculum-aligned exercises to help students prepare for the Secondary School Entrance Assessment (SEA). Students earn points for correct answers, contributing to their school’s overall score, with the school recording the highest collective score at the end of each month declared champion.
Flow Trinidad Senior Manager of Marketing Paula Daniel-Linton said the partnership with Pennacool.com was helping children build confidence, strengthen their skills and make learning more engaging.
“At Flow, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and access to the right tools can make a meaningful difference in that journey,” Daniel-Linton said.
She said the initiative also supported teachers and schools in preparing students for success.
Beyond the digital learning platform, Flow and Pennacool.com donated 400 SEA practice test books to primary schools across Trinidad during October.
Among the recipients were Gasparillo Government Primary School, Marabella Boys Anglican Primary School and Coffee Boys Anglican Primary School.
Flow said it remained committed to supporting opportunities that benefit students, teachers and schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
