Energy ministers meet with Halliburton and Noble

Min­is­ter of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries Dr Roodal Mooni­lal and Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries Ernesto Ke­sar met with rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Hal­libur­ton Trinidad Lim­it­ed and No­ble Cor­po­ra­tion on Mon­day.

The meet­ing took place at the Min­istry of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries head of­fice at the In­ter­na­tion­al Wa­ter­front Com­plex in Port of Spain.

Rep­re­sent­ing Hal­libur­ton were Pres­i­dent and Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Jeff Miller, Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent Latin Amer­i­ca Fran­cis­co Tara­zona, Vice Pres­i­dent Caribbean Fran­co De­lano, Op­er­a­tions Man­ag­er Hal­libur­ton Trinidad and Suri­name San­ti­a­go Zam­bra­no and Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment Man­ag­er Hal­libur­ton Caribbean Shiv­anand Pan­cham.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of both com­pa­nies pro­vid­ed up­dates on work in Trinidad and To­ba­go and across Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean.

The min­istry stat­ed that the dis­cus­sions ad­dressed col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the Gov­ern­ment and en­er­gy ser­vice com­pa­nies op­er­at­ing in the coun­try.

The min­istry al­so ac­knowl­edged the pres­ence of Hal­libur­ton in Trinidad and To­ba­go for more than sev­en­ty years.

Ac­cord­ing to the min­istry, the meet­ing al­so ad­dressed op­por­tu­ni­ties for fur­ther en­gage­ment be­tween the Gov­ern­ment and en­er­gy ser­vice com­pa­nies.

The dis­cus­sions fo­cused on work in the up­stream sec­tor and on the role of ser­vice com­pa­nies in the en­er­gy in­dus­try.

Min­is­ter Mooni­lal and Min­is­ter Ke­sar stat­ed that the Gov­ern­ment will main­tain an in­vest­ment en­vi­ron­ment for com­pa­nies op­er­at­ing in the sec­tor.

The min­istry stat­ed that en­gage­ment with in­dus­try stake­hold­ers will con­tin­ue.
