Chief Personnel Officer Commander Dr Daryl Dindial on Monday reconvened talks with the Executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association on matters affecting members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
The meeting took place at the offices of the Personnel Department.
During the meeting, reference was made to the last engagement between the parties on December 9, 2025.
At that meeting, the Association was advised by the Chief Personnel Officer to submit a formal response to the five per cent salary offer dated April 11, 2025 for the 2020–2022 bargaining period.
The matter formed part of discussions at Monday’s meeting as both parties continued dialogue on salary negotiations.
The Association did not accept the offer during the meeting.
However, the Association said a written response will be submitted to the Chief Personnel Officer.
Other matters discussed included the Job Evaluation Exercise, the Group Health Plan, pension reform and matters concerning the Municipal Police.
The Association noted the matters raised and said it will continue engagement with the Chief Personnel Officer on issues affecting its membership.
The Association also said it will consult with its Executive and membership as discussions continue.
Chief Personnel Officer Commander Dr Daryl Dindial thanked President Ishmael Pitt and the Executive of the Association for their engagement during the meeting.
Commander Dindial also said the Personnel Department will continue dialogue on matters affecting police officers.
