One man has been arrested, and a gun, along with a quantity of ammunition, have been seized by police in joint anti-crime exercises with soldiers in the South Western Division on March 22.

Acting on intelligence, officers went to a residence on Beach Road in Icacos, Cedros.

They searched the residence and found a Glock-17 pistol with a magazine containing eight rounds of 9 mm ammunition.

The officers then went to another residence in the same area, however, nothing illegal was found.

Officers subsequently went about 100 metres into a coconut estate on the southern side of Icacos Beach and searched the area.
