The Port of Spain City Corporation has advised all Carnival 2026 service providers that they must obtain municipal approval before entering the city to operate during the season. The corporation issued the notice on social media, targeting providers transporting food, drinks, toilets or music into Port of Spain.

According to the corporation, applications open from February 4 to February 13, 2026, and will be processed between 8.00 am and 2.30 pm at its offices at 2–4 Knox Street. The notice urges bands and service providers not to wait until the last minute and to ensure full compliance ahead of Carnival.

The corporation also warned that failure to apply constitutes a breach of the Public Health Ordinance Chapter 12 No. 4 and the Municipal Corporations Act Chapter 25:04.“Offenders shall be guilty of an offence and shall be subject to the applicable penalty or penalties where applicable.”
