Caribbean Airlines advises of further flight cancellations to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York, for today, Monday, February 23, and tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24.
The airline confirms the disruptions follow ongoing severe winter conditions and an extended closure of the airport terminal at JFK.
Cancelled flight sectors for today, February 23:
BW 520: Trinidad to New York
BW 521: New York to Trinidad
BW 527: New York to Guyana to Trinidad
BW 559: New York to Trinidad
BW 526: Trinidad to Guyana to New York
Cancelled flight sectors for tomorrow, February 24:
BW 520: Trinidad to New York
BW 521: New York to Trinidad
BW 527: New York to Guyana to Trinidad
BW 05: Kingston, Jamaica to New York
BW 06: New York to Kingston, Jamaica
The airline confirms that all sectors are affected and passengers will be re-accommodated on the next available services. For passengers affected by cancellations between February 22 and 24, rebooking on the same route in the same cabin is permitted at no additional cost for travel up to March 2, 2026. Full refunds are available for cancelled flights only.
Regional airports are heavily impacted. As of early today, more than 1,000 flights were cancelled at LaGuardia Airport and JFK, with hundreds more at Newark Liberty International Airport.
