CAL: Airline was not evicted in Kingston

Caribbean Air­lines has moved to dis­pel spec­u­la­tion sur­round­ing its of­fice in Kingston, Ja­maica, con­firm­ing that a planned re­lo­ca­tion is linked to the nat­ur­al ex­pi­ra­tion of an ex­ist­ing lease and not to any evic­tion process.
In a news re­lease is­sued yes­ter­day, the State-owned car­ri­er said the de­ci­sion re­gard­ing its Hope Road, Kingston lo­ca­tion fol­lows the sched­uled end of the lease arrange­ment and is be­ing man­aged as part of rou­tine busi­ness op­er­a­tions.
The air­line em­pha­sised that there is no evic­tion un­der­way and that it has main­tained open and on­go­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion with the prop­er­ty own­er, con­sis­tent with stan­dard busi­ness prac­tice. It added that the tran­si­tion is be­ing han­dled in a man­ner in­tend­ed to en­sure con­ti­nu­ity of op­er­a­tions.
Caribbean Air­lines al­so sought to re­as­sure cus­tomers and stake­hold­ers that the re­lo­ca­tion will not dis­rupt ser­vice de­liv­ery. The air­line con­firmed that all op­er­a­tions and ser­vices con­tin­ue as nor­mal, with no in­con­ve­nience to pas­sen­gers.
The clar­i­fi­ca­tion comes amid height­ened scruti­ny of Caribbean Air­lines’ re­gion­al op­er­a­tions and cost man­age­ment, par­tic­u­lar­ly as the com­pa­ny con­tin­ues to nav­i­gate com­pet­i­tive pres­sures with­in the Caribbean avi­a­tion mar­ket. Ja­maica re­mains a key des­ti­na­tion with­in the air­line’s net­work, serv­ing both busi­ness and leisure trav­ellers and act­ing as an im­por­tant re­gion­al hub.
The air­line re­it­er­at­ed its fo­cus on main­tain­ing re­li­able and seam­less ser­vice, not­ing that cus­tomers should ex­pect no change to flight sched­ules, tick­et­ing ser­vices or cus­tomer sup­port as a re­sult of the of­fice move.
Caribbean Air­lines did not dis­close the new lo­ca­tion of its Kingston of­fice or the time­line for the re­lo­ca­tion, but sig­nalled that fur­ther up­dates would be pro­vid­ed if nec­es­sary.
