The aunt of seven-year-old Angelica Jogie has remembered her as a joyful and loving child following her death in a jet ski incident at Pigeon Point Beach, Tobago.

In a Facebook post shared after the incident yesterday, Angelica’s aunt, Linda, described the child, affectionately called “Saydee”, as a bright presence who brought happiness to those around her.

“Our hearts are heavy as we remember our precious Saydee, who was taken from us far too soon at just seven years old,” she wrote.

She described Angelica as “a vibrant soul” whose “infectious smile” and love for life left a lasting impression on family members.

“With her infectious smile and a spirit as bright as the sun on the beach she loved so much, she reminded us all to find wonder in the small things,” the post read.

Linda said that although the child’s life was short, her impact would never fade.

“Though her time with us was brief, the depth of her love and the sweetness of her personality left an indelible mark on our family that can never be erased.”

She added that the family would continue to hold on to memories of the young girl.

“We will forever carry her memory in our hearts, picturing her forever young, forever happy, and forever our beautiful angel.”

Linda also expressed gratitude for the time they shared with the child.

“She was a gift to this world, and while we are devastated by her loss, we are profoundly grateful for the seven years of pure light she shared with us.”

Recalling her personal bond, she added, “She always brought joy to me whenever I felt down.”
