Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has lost another member of its senior leadership team. Nichelle Granderson, the Human Resources Vice President, stepped down on Friday after serving in the role for only four months.

In a WhatsApp message to Guardian Media, CAL chairman Reyna Kowlessar confirmed Granderson’s decision to leave the company. While not giving a reason for her departure, Kowlessar said the company had “accepted her decision”.

According to Kowlessar, the company will make an acting appointment and begin the search for a new HR Vice President soon.

In a LinkedIn post, Granderson also confirmed her departure from the company, saying, “my short but meaningful stint at Caribbean Airlines Ltd has now come to a close”.

“I now return to my core consulting practice and ongoing appointments, carrying forward the insights and experiences gained during this chapter,” she added.

Granderson is also a member of the FCB board.

Her exit is the latest in a series of high-level departures from the state entity, either through retirement or resignation.

Among those leaving the senior leadership team were CEO Garvin Medera, Chief Information Officer Jeremy Mohammed, Chief Financial Officer Varuna Kuarsingh, Chief Commercial Officer Martin Aeberli, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Nalini Lalla, General Manager of Procurement and Cost Improvisation Arlene Hunte, and General Manager of Cargo and New Business Marklan Moseley.

Guardian Media understands he left the company a few weeks ago.

CAL has been actively seeking to fill the roles, but industry experts say it is highly unusual to see so many leadership departures in such a short period
