Officers of the Port of Spain Division seized ammunition and cannabis during Operation Steadfast conducted between March 14 and March 15.
Police said the exercise targeted areas including St. Barbs, Roget Place, St. Ann’s, Hutton Street, Aripita Road and Rock City in Port of Spain.
During the operation, officers conducted searches at five houses.
Police reported that five rounds of 5.56 ammunition and 210 grammes of cannabis were found and seized during the searches.
No arrests were reported in connection with the seizures up to the time of the release.
The exercise was carried out by officers of the Port of Spain Division as part of ongoing operations across districts within the division.
Police stated that operations such as Operation Steadfast form part of ongoing efforts by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service to target criminal activity.
The service said it will continue intelligence-based operations across communities in an effort to locate illegal items and address offences.
