Teen injured by dad during cutlass attack

A teenag­er was in­jured af­ter his fa­ther al­leged­ly at­tacked him with a cut­lass dur­ing an ar­gu­ment at their La Brea home on Wednes­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, around 7.45 pm, the teenag­er was at home when he and his 45-year-old fa­ther got in­to an ar­gu­ment over a fan.

Dur­ing the al­ter­ca­tion, the fa­ther al­leged­ly at­tacked him with a cut­lass, re­sult­ing in a strug­gle be­tween the two.

The teenag­er re­port­ed­ly grabbed the cut­lass, sus­tain­ing in­juries to both palms in the process. He al­so suf­fered in­juries to the left side of his neck and the right side of his face.

He was treat­ed at the Point Fortin Hos­pi­tal.
