Flow to donate $200 for every TKR six to people with disabilities

Flow will do­nate TT$200 for every six scored by the Trin­ba­go Knight Rid­ers (TKR) dur­ing the 2026 Re­pub­lic Bank Caribbean Pre­mier League (CPL), with the funds go­ing to the Na­tion­al Cen­tre for Per­sons with Dis­abil­i­ties (NCPD).

The ini­tia­tive forms part of Flow’s “Every Six Gives Back” cam­paign, which links the ex­cite­ment of the CPL with sup­port for ed­u­ca­tion, sport, health and com­mu­ni­ty de­vel­op­ment across the Caribbean.

In Trinidad and To­ba­go, the telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions provider said its do­na­tion will sup­port the NCPD’s work to em­pow­er per­sons with dis­abil­i­ties and en­hance op­por­tu­ni­ties for them.

As part of the ini­tia­tive, Flow em­ploy­ees host­ed stu­dents and teach­ers from the NCPD on Au­gust 25 for a Trin­ba­go Knight Rid­ers play­er meet and greet and train­ing ses­sion at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

The stu­dents had an op­por­tu­ni­ty to meet and in­ter­act with mem­bers of the TKR team while get­ting a be­hind-the-scenes ex­pe­ri­ence.

The cam­paign is al­so be­ing car­ried out in oth­er CPL mar­kets.

In Ja­maica, the Flow Foun­da­tion has pledged a cash do­na­tion for every six scored dur­ing the four CPL match­es at Sabi­na Park, with the funds go­ing to­wards back-to-school ini­tia­tives.

In Bar­ba­dos, Flow will con­tribute US$50 for every six scored by the Bar­ba­dos Tri­dents to­wards crick­et gear for lo­cal crick­et clubs.

In An­tigua and Bar­bu­da, US$50 will be do­nat­ed for every six, with the pro­ceeds be­ing shared be­tween the Sun­shine Home for Girls and St John’s Hos­pice.

In St Kitts and Nevis and St Lu­cia, Flow will pro­vide free con­nec­tiv­i­ty ser­vices to lo­cal crick­et clubs.

Lib­er­ty Caribbean CEO Inge Smidts said the ini­tia­tive was in­tend­ed to ex­tend the im­pact of the com­pa­ny’s CPL part­ner­ship be­yond crick­et.

“CPL brings peo­ple to­geth­er through a sport that is deeply wo­ven in­to the fab­ric of Caribbean life. Whether we are sup­port­ing ed­u­ca­tion, young ath­letes, health­care or in­clu­sion, these ini­tia­tives demon­strate that the im­pact of our part­ner­ships can ex­tend well be­yond the bound­ary,” Smidts said.

“There is some­thing pow­er­ful about turn­ing a mo­ment of cel­e­bra­tion in­to an op­por­tu­ni­ty to give back. With every six, we are not on­ly cel­e­brat­ing the ex­cite­ment of the game, but al­so cre­at­ing sup­port for young peo­ple, fam­i­lies and or­gan­i­sa­tions do­ing im­por­tant work in our com­mu­ni­ties.”
