Ten more placed under preventive detention orders

Ten more peo­ple have been de­tained un­der the Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions, 2026, with the de­ten­tion or­ders al­leg­ing links to or­gan­ised crime groups and in­volve­ment in vi­o­lent crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty, in­clud­ing rob­beries, shoot­ings and oth­er of­fences.

The Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­ders were is­sued by Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Roger Alexan­der be­tween Ju­ly 8 and Ju­ly 13.

The first two or­ders tar­get­ed Anslem “Worm” Jack­son and Jordell Cum­mings. The or­ders al­lege both men are mem­bers of the Snatch­ing Ring Gang (SRG), de­scribed as a sub­set of the Sev­en Gang. Jack­son is iden­ti­fied as an en­forcer/co­or­di­na­tor, while Cum­mings is iden­ti­fied as an en­forcer. The or­ders al­lege the group has ac­cess to firearms and am­mu­ni­tion and is in­volved in armed rob­beries, shoot­ings and re­tal­ia­to­ry at­tacks.

Three of the or­ders re­late to al­leged mem­bers of the Ras­ta City gang. Ja­heel Isi­ah Fras­er is de­scribed as a lead­ing mem­ber, with the or­der al­leg­ing he re­cruit­ed oth­ers and or­gan­ised a rob­bery with vi­o­lence in San Fer­nan­do. Kevin Boyce and Kevin George are al­so iden­ti­fied as mem­bers, with the or­ders al­leg­ing links to vi­o­lent rob­beries and oth­er crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty.

An­oth­er or­der was is­sued against Elo­vis “Bob­ble Head” Arneaud. The or­der al­leges he is a mem­ber of an un­named or­gan­ised crime group in­volved in armed rob­beries and vi­o­lent home in­va­sions.

Mar­cel “Flash” Marchan was de­tained un­der an or­der al­leg­ing he is an en­forcer for an in­for­mal crime group in­volved in tar­get­ing peo­ple af­ter they with­draw large sums of cash from com­mer­cial banks.

Nathon Thomas was de­tained un­der an or­der al­leg­ing he is a mem­ber of the Rad­i­cal Mus­lim gang op­er­at­ing in Ari­ma, Trinci­ty and Arou­ca. The or­der de­scribes him as a shoot­er, stash man and sup­pli­er.

The re­main­ing two de­tainees, Adri­an Nep­tune and Josi­ah Ben­jamin, are linked in the or­ders to a group op­er­at­ing in the Mon­key Town/New Grant area.

The or­ders pro­vide for de­ten­tion at the East­ern Cor­rec­tion­al Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tre in San­ta Rosa.Ari­ma, or an­oth­er lo­ca­tion di­rect­ed by the min­is­ter.
