Padarath meets new U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

Act­ing Min­is­ter of For­eign and Cari­com Af­fairs Bar­ry Padarath met with the Unit­ed States' new Chargé d'Af­faires, Philip Kern, to­day as the two sides reaf­firmed the long­stand­ing re­la­tion­ship be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed States.

Padarath, who al­so serves as Min­is­ter of Pub­lic Util­i­ties and Min­is­ter in the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter, held dis­cus­sions with Kern at the Min­istry of For­eign and Cari­com Af­fairs' head­quar­ters.

Ac­cord­ing to a so­cial me­dia post by the Min­istry of For­eign and Cari­com Af­fairs, the meet­ing pro­vid­ed an op­por­tu­ni­ty to dis­cuss mat­ters of shared in­ter­est, with a view to deep­en­ing co­op­er­a­tion and fos­ter­ing con­tin­ued part­ner­ship be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed States.
