Tunapuna man stabbed to death after argument

An ar­gu­ment end­ed with the death of a 25-year-old man in Tu­na­puna on Thurs­day night.

Po­lice said Alex Sama­roo was lim­ing with friends on Cen­te­nary Street around 9.45 pm when he got in­to an ar­gu­ment with some­one.

The sus­pect re­port­ed­ly pulled out a knife and stabbed Sama­roo twice in the chest be­fore run­ning away.

Passers-by took Sama­roo to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, where he was de­clared dead at 11.09 pm.

Of­fi­cers of the Re­gion II Homi­cide Bu­reau and the Tu­na­puna CID vis­it­ed the scene and are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
