A 41-year-old Curepe man died after suffering a heart attack and crashing into the back of a car while driving on Sunday night.
Police reported that Randy Siew of Alice Street, Curepe was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer. Police said around 8:15 pm, Siew was heading north along the Uriah Butler Highway near Caroni when he suffered a myocardial infarction while driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara and slammed into the back of a Nissan Sylphy driven by Himlal Samdeo, 40, of Claxton Bay.
Siew, who had two elderly passengers in his vehicle, veered off the road after the crash, with both passengers, aged 65 and 70, sustaining injuries and taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, while Samdeo did not report any injuries.
