Kamla promises secondary school to Shouter Baptists

Cab­i­net has agreed to work with the Spir­i­tu­al Shouter Bap­tist com­mu­ni­ty to es­tab­lish a long-await­ed sec­ondary school, Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar an­nounced in Par­lia­ment yes­ter­day.

She de­liv­ered the up­date while ex­tend­ing greet­ings ahead of Spir­i­tu­al Shouter Bap­tist Lib­er­a­tion Day on Mon­day, a pub­lic hol­i­day.

The PM said the com­mu­ni­ty has long been call­ing for the school.

“They have been yearn­ing, moan­ing, groan­ing that they want a sec­ondary school,” she said.
