Three held in robbery, larceny cases in South Western Division

Three sus­pects are in po­lice cus­tody fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to lar­ce­ny and rob­bery re­ports in the South West­ern Di­vi­sion this week.

Po­lice said in one in­ci­dent, of­fi­cers of the San Fer­nan­do Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment re­spond­ed to a re­port of rob­bery at a su­per­mar­ket in the Fyz­abad dis­trict on Tues­day. Two male sus­pects were ar­rest­ed with as­sis­tance from of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Emer­gency Re­sponse Pa­trol and Task Force.

Of­fi­cers con­duct­ed search­es and seized one mag­a­zine with ten rounds of am­mu­ni­tion, along with cash, cel­lu­lar phones and watch­es from the sus­pects. Fur­ther en­quiries led to the dis­cov­ery of one pis­tol and ad­di­tion­al quan­ti­ties of cash, cel­lu­lar phones and watch­es.

Po­lice al­so re­cov­ered a Nis­san mo­tor ve­hi­cle be­lieved to have been used in the rob­bery. The ve­hi­cle was found in the Palmiste Park dis­trict.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent in the Pe­nal dis­trict, of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed one man in con­nec­tion with the lar­ce­ny of sheep from a male vic­tim.

Po­lice said the sus­pect’s ve­hi­cle was stopped by the own­er of the an­i­mals around 11:45 a.m. on Mon­day 23 March 2026. Of­fi­cers were con­tact­ed and the sus­pect was held.

All three sus­pects re­main in cus­tody as in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tin­ue.
