WASA ready to support schools during SEA

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) says it is ful­ly pre­pared to sup­port schools across Trinidad and To­ba­go dur­ing the Sec­ondary En­trance As­sess­ment (SEA) ex­am­i­na­tions.

In a state­ment is­sued Wednes­day, WASA said it has im­ple­ment­ed mea­sures to en­sure a re­li­able wa­ter sup­ply at all ex­am­i­na­tion cen­tres.

These in­clude the de­ploy­ment of wa­ter trucks, ac­ti­va­tion of stand­by re­sponse teams and co­or­di­nat­ed mon­i­tor­ing of sup­ply sys­tems to ad­dress any un­fore­seen is­sues.

The Au­thor­i­ty al­so es­tab­lished a ded­i­cat­ed sup­port line for school prin­ci­pals and au­tho­rised per­son­nel to make di­rect con­tact in the event of wa­ter-re­lat­ed chal­lenges be­fore or dur­ing the ex­am­i­na­tions.

Schools ex­pe­ri­enc­ing is­sues are urged to con­tact WASA via its SEA sup­port lines: North: 728-2346, South and Cen­tral: 463-8360, To­ba­go: 465-2949.

WASA said it re­mains com­mit­ted to en­sur­ing a safe and com­fort­able en­vi­ron­ment for stu­dents and reaf­firmed its sup­port dur­ing the ex­am­i­na­tion pe­ri­od.
