West Indies all rounder Jason Holder has been named to the Team of the Tournament at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Cricket West Indies said Holder earned selection after performances during the tournament.
Holder took 10 wickets and scored 141 runs. He recorded a strike rate of 174.07 and an average of 35.25.
He scored 33 from 17 balls against England cricket team as West Indies made 196 for 6 and won by 30 runs.
Holder and Romario Shepherd added 89 runs for the eighth wicket against South Africa national cricket team in Ahmedabad. Holder scored 49 from 31 balls.
He made 37 from 22 balls against India national cricket team.
With the ball, Holder took 4 for 27 against Nepal national cricket team at Wankhede Stadium.
Holder said the selection was a proud moment.
Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said Holder’s performances contributed to results.
Shimron Hetmyer scored 248 runs in seven innings.
Sherfane Rutherford made 76 not out against England.
Holder said the team worked for results during the tournament.
