Cricket West Indies says all players and members of the Team Management Unit who were part of the West Indies Men’s squad at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in India have returned home.
In a statement issued Saturday, Cricket West Indies said the final group of players and support staff completed their journeys over the past several days and arrived at their respective destinations.
The regional cricket body said the travel followed challenges involving cancellations of chartered flights arranged by the International Cricket Council.
Cricket West Indies said commercial travel was secured for members of the squad earlier this week after the cancellations.
The organisation thanked the International Cricket Council, regional cricket boards and other stakeholders for assisting in facilitating the return of the team.
Cricket West Indies also acknowledged West Indies supporters and members of the cricket community who expressed concern and sent well-wishes.
The board said the well-being and safety of players and staff remain a priority and noted that the matter has been brought to a conclusion.
