Santa Cruz pensioner robbed in early morning home invasion

A 75-year-old San­ta Cruz woman was robbed at knife­point at her home ear­ly on Fri­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the woman was in the bath­room of her La Canoa Road home at around 6.55 am when she no­ticed three men in her home.

One of the men point­ed a knife at her and de­mand­ed valu­ables be­fore plac­ing a strip of duct tape over her mouth and lock­ing her in the clos­et of her bed­room.

The woman even­tu­al­ly greed her­self short­ly af­ter and walked through the house when she re­alised that jew­el­ery, two cell­phones, a fold­ing case and an HP lap­top were miss­ing from the house.

Of­fi­cers of the po­lice Cy­ber Crime Unit are as­sist­ing of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion as part of their in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to the theft.
