Caribbean Airlines leads testing of digital immigration platform at Piarco

Caribbean Air­lines is lead­ing the way in test­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go’s new on­line im­mi­gra­tion and cus­toms plat­form ahead of its planned roll­out next week.

In a no­tice to­day, the air­line said pas­sen­gers trav­el­ling on spe­cif­ic Caribbean Air­lines flights on Sat­ur­day, March 14 will be re­quired to com­plete the coun­try’s dig­i­tal ar­rival and de­par­ture form as au­thor­i­ties test the sys­tem at Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port.

The test will ap­ply to pas­sen­gers trav­el­ling on flights BW 527 and BW 431 ar­riv­ing at Pi­ar­co, and BW 240 de­part­ing the air­port.

Pas­sen­gers on those flights will be re­quired to com­plete the form through the Gov­ern­ment’s por­tal at https://trav­el.gov.tt

Caribbean Air­lines said the link will be­come ac­ces­si­ble on March 14, 2026, and trav­ellers on the test flights must com­plete the form on the date of trav­el as part of the sys­tem tri­al.

The air­line al­so ad­vised that the dig­i­tal process is be­ing pi­lot­ed, 0and pas­sen­gers will still be re­quired to com­plete the pa­per im­mi­gra­tion form un­til the on­line sys­tem is ful­ly im­ple­ment­ed.

Au­thor­i­ties have been prepar­ing to in­tro­duce the On­line Ar­rival and De­par­ture Card Plat­form to re­place the long-stand­ing pa­per forms used by trav­ellers en­ter­ing and leav­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go.

The plat­form is ex­pect­ed to al­low pas­sen­gers to sub­mit their ar­rival and de­par­ture de­c­la­ra­tions elec­tron­i­cal­ly be­fore trav­el­ling.

Un­der the sys­tem, trav­ellers will cre­ate an ac­count on the Gov­ern­ment’s por­tal us­ing an email ad­dress, up­load a pho­to­graph of the bio­da­ta page of their pass­port, and com­plete the re­quired in­for­ma­tion on­line.

Once sub­mit­ted, trav­ellers will re­ceive a con­fir­ma­tion email con­tain­ing a dig­i­tal re­ceipt with a unique code and QR code that can be pre­sent­ed to im­mi­gra­tion of­fi­cials on a mo­bile de­vice or as a print­ed copy.
