Stolen vehicle recovered; three arrested in Freeport

Of­fi­cers of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice have re­cov­ered a stolen ve­hi­cle and ar­rest­ed three men dur­ing an an­ti-crime op­er­a­tion in the Freeport Po­lice Dis­trict.

Po­lice stat­ed that the ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed be­tween 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sun­day, in keep­ing with the Op­er­a­tional and Strate­gic Plans 2025–2026. The ini­tia­tive tar­get­ed pri­or­i­ty of­fend­ers and iden­ti­fied drug blocks with­in the dis­trict.

Act­ing on in­tel­li­gence, of­fi­cers went to Uquire Road, Freeport, where they re­cov­ered a white Nis­san Ti­i­da mo­tor ve­hi­cle. The ve­hi­cle had been re­port­ed stolen in the St Joseph Po­lice Dis­trict on Jan­u­ary 7, 2026.

Three men were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with lar­ce­ny of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle en­quiries. They are a 31-year-old man of Flana­gin Town, Bras­so, a 28-year-old man of Ch­agua­nas and a 32-year-old man of Freeport.

Po­lice said the op­er­a­tion was co­or­di­nat­ed by Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Bhag­wan­deen, Su­per­in­ten­dent Frank and ASP Reyes. Of­fi­cers at­tached to the Freeport CID and the Freeport Po­lice Charg­e­room al­so par­tic­i­pat­ed in the ex­er­cise.
