A 33-year-old Guaico man has been remanded into custody when he appeared before the High Court on Ash Wednesday to face charges of robbery with aggravation, possession of ammunition and possession of apparatus.
Police said the charges stemmed from a robbery at San Louis Road Extension, Guaico, Sangre Grande, on January 29.
Officers of the Sangre Grande CID viewed CCTV footage of the incident and obtained a search warrant at the man's Moolchan Street, home where they found evidence.
He was arrested on February 12 with 21 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
Sources confirmed the man was also placed on identification parade earlier this week and was positively identified.
He is expected to return to court on March 26.
