PBR open to public heading east from 2pm

Mo­torists will be al­lowed to ac­cess the east­bound lane of the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route for a few hours on Car­ni­val Mon­day, the Min­istry of Trans­port and Civ­il Avi­a­tion (MT­CA) has con­firmed.

In a state­ment is­sued ear­li­er to­day, the Min­istry said:

“…au­tho­ri­sa­tion has been grant­ed for light mo­tor ve­hi­cles on­ly to utilise the east­bound lane of the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route from Abat­toir Road to Mt Hope/Champs Fleurs on Mon­day 16 Feb­ru­ary 2026, from 2:00 pm to 11:59 pm.”

The Min­istry is urg­ing mo­torists to “com­ply with all law­ful in­struc­tions from po­lice of­fi­cers and traf­fic signs”.

Mo­torists al­so are ad­vised to “ex­er­cise due care and at­ten­tion” while us­ing the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route dur­ing the au­tho­rised pe­ri­od.
