Curepe man shot dead outside home

Po­lice are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to the killing of a Curepe man yes­ter­day morn­ing.

The vic­tim was iden­ti­fied as Shawn Leza­ma, 47.

His com­mon-law wife re­port­ed hear­ing sev­er­al gun­shots at about 5.30 am on Feb­ru­ary 11. When she checked, she saw him ly­ing on the ground out­side their home on Mc Don­ald Street, Curepe.

The woman raised an alarm and, along with a neigh­bour, rushed the in­jured man to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Mt Hope, where doc­tors pro­nounced him dead on ar­rival.
