Liberty Caribbean has been named the Diamond Sponsor of CANTO Connect 2026, the Caribbean’s major telecommunications and ICT conference, scheduled for February 1 to 3 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The telecommunications provider, which operates Flow, BTC and Liberty Business, will take a leading role in the conference, with its chief executive officer Inge Smidts set to deliver the opening-day keynote address.
CANTO Connect 2026 will run under the theme “Elevate the Caribbean: From connectivity to global competitiveness,” focusing on strengthening the region’s digital economy and positioning the Caribbean on the global stage.
“CANTO Connect is where the region’s digital future is defined,” Smidts said. “As the Diamond Sponsor, we are not simply supporting this event – we are reinforcing our leadership role in driving resilient networks, transformative innovation, and inclusive digital growth throughout the Caribbean.”
The conference will bring together industry leaders and decision-makers to examine issues shaping the region’s digital development, including intelligent connectivity, innovation rooted in Caribbean identity and a people-first approach to technology.
Liberty Caribbean’s sponsorship places the company at the centre of discussions on regional connectivity and digital transformation, alongside CANTO and other stakeholders in the telecommunications and ICT sector.
The partnership aligns Liberty Caribbean and CANTO around a shared focus on connecting people, supporting businesses and enabling governments through telecommunications infrastructure and policy initiatives.
