Man charged with 25 counts of motor vehicle larceny

A man ap­peared be­fore the High Court this week charged with 25 counts of mo­tor ve­hi­cle lar­ce­ny and was de­nied bail.

Keron Delisia, al­so known as Tacbir and Greedy, ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Rhea Liebert on Mon­day and Tues­day at the Ch­agua­nas Mas­ters’ Court. He was charged with 25 counts of lar­ce­ny mo­tor ve­hi­cle aris­ing out of 24 in­ci­dents in 2025 and one in­ci­dent in 2026. He was not called up­on to plead and was de­nied bail. The mat­ter was ad­journed to June 2, 2026.

The charges fol­lowed re­ports of mo­tor ve­hi­cle lar­ce­ny made in the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion. Of­fi­cers of the Ch­agua­nas Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment ar­rest­ed one male sus­pect in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dents af­ter in­ves­ti­ga­tions.

The op­er­a­tion to ar­rest the ac­cused was co­or­di­nat­ed by Snr Supt Bhag­wan­deen, Supt Glodon, ASP Har­ry­lal, ASP Her­nan­dez and In­sp Joseph.

Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Al­lis­ter Gue­var­ro com­ment­ed on the con­clu­sion of the in­ves­ti­ga­tions and the court ap­pear­ance. He ref­er­enced the work of the in­ves­ti­ga­tors and the role of the su­per­vis­ing of­fi­cers in bring­ing the mat­ter be­fore the court.
