Trincity/Maloney Member of Parliament Camille Robinson-Regis has returned to the Parliament for the first time since the April 28 General Election.

Yesterday was the MP’s first official appearance in Parliament since she underwent a medical procedure last year.

Speaking to Guardian Media about the state of her health outside Parliament yesterday, Robinson-Regis said, “Much better. I have improved and I am much better, back out to work.”

Although she said her health has improved, the MP did not participate in the parliamentary debate.

When asked why, Robinson-Regis explained that she did not think she was quite ready yet, as it was only her first day.

Last November, Robinson-Regis revealed she had been recovering from a planned medical procedure from earlier in the year.

At the time, she said the procedure was not serious.

During her absence, she maintained that she continued regular communication with key stakeholders across the constituency and with her staff at her constituency office.
