A prison officer and a car wash operator were killed in an accident along the Mc Bean stretch of the Southern Main Road in Couva last evening.
They have been identified as Prison Officer Keron Prime, and 38-year-old Darren Lewis, the proprietor of Spot On Car Wash in Chase Village.
The deadly crash happened just before midnight near Beaucarro Village.
Initial reports suggest that at least four vehicles were involved in the accident,
Lewis was driving a Mazda Three, while Prime was travelling in a Nissan Tiida.
Both men were declared dead when police and emergency services arrived on the scene.
