Senior Superintendent Earl Ellie has been officially appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police and will assume command of the Tobago Police Division on December 23.
He takes over from ACP Oswain Subero, who proceeded on leave earlier this month. The division was temporarily led by ACP Michael Pierre during the transition.
Ellie confirmed to Guardian Media that he has received formal notice of his promotion. “I am prepared to serve at this higher level with professionalism and commitment,” he said.
He added that his priority will be strengthening operations, supporting officers, and deepening community engagement across Tobago.
