Two male suspects have been arrested in connection with a robbery involving a maxi taxi and its passengers along the Priority Bus Route in Arouca on November 19.

According to police, the arrests followed an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Northern Division by officers of the North Central Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, the South Western Division Task Force, and the Special Forces Operations Detachment of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.

Officers went to a house in the Cumuto district between 3 pm and 7 pm yesterday, where they found the two suspects inside a room. Police said further searches of the house led to the discovery of one revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition, along with eight rounds of assorted ammunition, which were hidden in a black lunch bag.
