82-year-old man found burnt in Valencia

Va­len­cia po­lice have iden­ti­fied the man found burnt at Alex­is Cir­cu­lar, Plan­ta­tion Road, as James Le Carde.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, PCs Rat­tans­ingh, Singh, and WPC Gon­za­les of the Va­len­cia Po­lice Post re­spond­ed af­ter re­ceiv­ing in­for­ma­tion about the in­ci­dent.

Up­on ar­rival, they found the house ran­sacked and a trail of blood lead­ing about 40 feet away to a large burnt area. Among the de­bris were wire rem­nants, burnt ma­te­ri­als re­sem­bling tires and char­coal, and what ap­peared to be hu­man skele­tal re­mains.

Se­nior of­fi­cers ar­rived at the scene and con­firmed the pres­ence of the re­mains. Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer Dr. Cordice ex­am­ined the skele­tal re­mains and or­dered their re­moval to the San­gre Grande Hos­pi­tal mor­tu­ary, af­ter which they are ex­pect­ed to be tak­en to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre in St James for a post-mortem ex­am­i­na­tion.

Of­fi­cers from the Homi­cide Bu­reau Re­gion II al­so joined the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Po­lice have not de­ter­mined a mo­tive for the killing, and the Arou­ca Homi­cide Bu­reau Re­gion II con­tin­ues to in­ves­ti­gate the case.
