The Ministry of Homeland Security says the Migrant Registration Framework is being implemented in three phases as part of a process to register migrants.

Phase one began on January 26, 2026, and ended on February 25, 2026. This phase involved an online application process during which applications were submitted, reviewed and appointments assigned.

The ministry said booking and confirmation of appointments remain ongoing.

At the end of the online registration period, the ministry received 29,276 applications representing more than 60 nationalities.

Phase two is now underway.

The ministry said 2,707 applications have been processed so far.

Applicants have been advised to print all required documents before attending their appointments. The ministry said details of required documents are outlined in the appointment confirmation email.

Applicants also are assigned to specific registration sites. The ministry said requests to change assigned sites cannot be easily accommodated because of operational arrangements.

Applicants also have been advised to arrive on time for their appointments. Officers at each site will already have the details related to each application.

The ministry said applicants who miss scheduled interviews will be rescheduled based on availability. However, it warned that space is limited and missing an appointment may lead to delays.

So far, 13,502 appointments have been scheduled based on the availability of venues. The remaining interviews are expected to be scheduled during April and May.

The ministry said the process includes security and health screenings.

After phase two, phase three will involve payment and issuance of the Migrant Registration Framework Card once approval is granted.
