You must accept responsibilty for blunder


MARTIN DALY SC has described Thursday’ vote of no confidence against Chief Justice Ivor Archie and the Judicial and Legal Services Commission (JLSC) as an “absolute watershed moment in the pursuit of accountability by public officials.” Daly, speaking to members of the media after the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago (LATT) debated a no-confidence motion over the debacle regarding former Chief Magistrate Marcia Ayers-Caesar said, “The JLSC did everything initially to ignore all legitimate inquiries. They started off by saying there was nothing more to be said, they took out a two-page ad, then took out another ad, a lot of inconsistencies and really this is the pursuit of accountability by public officials. It has nothing to do with impeachment or misbehaviour.
