

A Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert has been activated for Trinidad and surrounding waters, and to a lesser extent, Tobago.
The Alert went into effect at 2:00 am today (June 10, 2025), and will remain active until 4:00 PM on Wednesday (June 11, 2025).
According to the advisory issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), there is a 60% chance of isolated heavy showers and thunderstorm activity associated with atmospheric instability expected from early morning.
Met Service forecasters warn that the most impactful weather is expected mainly over southern and eastern offshore areas this morning, slowly extending across Trinidad and Tobago.
Gusty winds with varying intensities are expected in the vicinity of heavy downpours.

“Impacts include temporary traffic disruptions, street flooding and localised ponding, displacement of objects by gusts and difficulty anchoring marine craft,” the advisory stated.
“These conditions and impacts are expected in intervals over the period,” it added.
Members of the public are strongly advised to do the following:
● Secure loose outdoor objects.
● Motorists and residents in flood-prone areas should exercise caution.
● Take necessary precautions to mitigate potential impacts.
